  1. "Curran looked back at me. "Why is it you always attract creeps?"
"You tell me." Ha! Walked right into that one, yes, he did."
    — Ilona Andrews (Magic Strikes)

I love these guys' humor, and this is my fave quote :)

  2. I'm currently reading Winterborne by Augusta Blythe and late last night this just absolutely grabbed me. (I guess because I am really cat lady myself) LOL " I must look like an idiot shaking my head and murmuring to myself. Like a lady with too many cats."

  3. The favourite line of mine would be from Twilight
"Bella-You are my sun Jacob, balancing out my clouds.
Jacob- Clouds, I can handle that but I can't fight with an Eclipse."

This was the only line which was a masterpiece in the entire saga!

  4. @Laurie: Lol, I love it.

@Soutik: I am not a Twilight fan (ducks from Twihards throwing tomatoes) but THAT is a terrific line!

  5. "There is no pretending," Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I'll love you then."

-Jace from the Mortal Instruments series.

And I'm not a Twilight fan either, but that is a pretty line!

  6. Jace:"One of the Silent Brothers is here to see you. Hodge sent me to wake you up. Actually he offered to wake you himself, but since it's 5 a.m., I figured you'd be less cranky if you had something nice to look at."
    Clary:"Meaning you?"
    Jace:"What else?"

Jace:"Can I help you with something?"
Clary turned instant traitor against her gender. "Those girls on the other side of the car are staring at you."
Jace assumed an air of mellow gratification. "Of course they are," he said, "I am stunningly attractive."

Clary:"Is this the part where you start tearing off strips of your shirt to bind my wounds?"
Jace:"If you wanted me to rip my clothes off, you should have just asked."

Sorry for three quotes but I love The Mortal Instruments! And I love Jace even more! And also Cassandra Clare´s writing! Really. =) That is the reason why The Mortal Instruments are my favourite series - just because I love TMI and Jace. There are not necessary any other words. =D

    I know I am fool. =D =)

  7. My all time favorite book quote is
"Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us."

from Pride and Prejudice, which is my all time favorite book in the world. I love the quote because no matter how the times change, this is still the truth. I doubt THAT will ever change.

  8. GFC Krystal Larson twitter Icecream1891 edysicecreamlover18@gmailDOTcom
"Just a squirrel. Think the old man was feeling sentimental this morning, even wished me luck!" The Hunger Games :)

  9. "Simi? What was it you told me once about families? (Aimee)
We have three kinds of family. Those we are born to, those who are born to us, and those we let into our hearts. (Simi)" from Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon

  10. " you're slower than a fat kid on crunches"
from the house of night series
when I read it just makes me laugh!

"If someone isn't what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own." - The Alchemist By Paulo Coelho

Isn't that a great quote!? I was so voicing out "I know right!!?" to myself when I read it LoL

  13. One of my favorite books is Never Change by Elizabeth Berg. Here's a great quote:

"Abstracts are real and time is a lie, it cannot be measured when one moment can expand to hold everything."

I'm a new follower from Book Blogs - this giveaway is incredible! Thanks for hosting.

  14. You guys are all awesome!! Loving reading the answers!! Great quotes. Good Luck to you all :)

  15. Douglas Adams is one of my favorite authors ever and he has many, many quotes I could choose from, but this particular one is poignant and makes me a bit sad every time I read it. I love it and I think Douglas Adams was a literary genius...

"This is rather as if you imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, 'This is an interesting world I find myself in — an interesting hole I find myself in — fits me rather neatly, doesn't it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!' This is such a powerful idea that as the sun rises in the sky and the air heats up and as, gradually, the puddle gets smaller and smaller, frantically hanging on to the notion that everything's going to be alright, because this world was meant to have him in it, was built to have him in it; so the moment he disappears catches him rather by surprise. I think this may be something we need to be on the watch out for." - Douglas Adams

Anyway, thanks for the chance for extra entries and I'm your newest follower. Please follow me back when you get the chance. Thanks! :)

    -Sandra from http://sandrathenookworm.blogspot.com

  16. Sakura, I love that quote! What a powerful statement. I love it! Thanks so much for sharing...and I'll be checking you out soon :)

  17. Thanks for the giveaway!

    My favourite quote:

"To this day, I can never shake the connection between this boy, Peeta Mellark, and the bread that gave me hope, and the dandelion that reminded me that I was not doomed."
Katniss Everdeen @ The Hunger Games

    Ana Norte

  18. My favorite quote:

    "When he plays
    all the flowers swap colors
and years and decades and centuries
of rain pour back into the sky"
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson.

I get chills every time I read it.

  19. "If the moon smiled, she'd resemble you
    You leave the same impression
    Of something beautiful, but annihilating."

    Ariel by Sylvia Plath

  20. The one that comes to my head is from the latest Cat & Bones book where Bones says to Teddy "If you ask me if I sparkle I'll kill you" or something along those lines!

    I Tweeted: http://twitter.com/#!/Maria_Smith_76/status/77920437249646592

  21. "Your job will be to separate the white thumbtacks from the colored ones. Be sure to throw the colored ones away. They must leave the building. If they don't, then you will. The president, Daniel Rosen, likes only white thumbtacks at The Agency. Also, should you ever serve him a drink, he has just four ice cubes in his Diet Coke. If you put in more, he will throw the surplus ice cubes at you. If you put in three, he'll throw the entire drink at you."

From The Second Assistant: A Tale from the Bottom of the Hollywood Ladder by Clare Naylor and Mimi Hare

  22. Quote from Pride and Prejudice. "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife." I like this because it sets the stage for what is to come.

  23. Easy "DONT PANIC" Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy rocks :)

  24. "Want me to flex my magic for you, baby?" :D
It's from The Demon's Covenant by Sarah Rees Brennan

  25. Okay, so I think it's safe to say that Breaking Dawn was a book that incensed me beyond the tell of - but - my favorite quote came from Eclipse actually and it belongs to my favorite character in the whole Twilight Saga, Rosalie Hale Cullen.

"Would you like to hear my story, Bella? It doesn't have a happy ending – but which of ours does? If we had happy endings, we'd all be under gravestones now."

There was so much telling in who Rosalie really was and why she who she became, that made me love her even more. It was such a beautiful quote and very real. Probably the most real this series will ever get. And even then, it never really appreciated Rosalie too much.

But, yes thank you so much for being a part of this and of course, I'm totally your new stalker now and I hope I haven't offended you. Ignore the crazy girl in a tree. LOL. ;)

    Suz @ A Soul Unsung

  26. Every life is complicated, every mind a kingdom of unmapped mysteries.

From Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz

    And ain't it the truth?

    danaan at gmx dot at

  27. Such great quotes! I love reading them!!

@Maria: I LOVE that line. Bones is one of my favorite characters ever and when he said that I literally LOL'd! Awesome

  28. "You asked me who I thought I was before. I said maybe I was a fish because I love water and you said, you thought a mermaid, maybe.
If you were a mermaid, you said, if you were a mermaid, I was the sea."
    From Francesca Lia Block's "Wasteland".

Usagi @ Birth of a New Witch

  29. My favorite book quote is "Well, I'm back." from The Lord of the Rings. Beautiful and melancholy in its simplicity, the perfect ending to the novel.

  30. "We is so much better than I"-"Suzanne's Diary of Nicholas" by James Patterson :)

  31. I don't have the book with me (so this is just loose wording) right now but i love when edward tells bella "thats like comparing a tree to the entire forrest"

  32. "I set off, off to kill the man I love."
From the end of Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead because it's a great line, just horrible to end a book with when (at the time) it's the latest in the series. Plus it kinda signifies the point at which I really fell in love with the series.

  33. GFC Follower.Thanks for the giveaway.augustlily06(at)aim(dot)com.
